Meet Our Owner and Behavior Consultant

Jenny Arasi, CCBC

Jenny learned that she loved cats while working in animal shelters. It’s where she also learned that compared to dog behavior and enrichment, the same considerations for cats were heavily lacking. A quest to change that is where it all began! Jenny received her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Behavior from the University of New England. She went on to work in shelters with a focus on behavior, where she got to help lots of shelter animals find new homes and help members of the public address behavior concerns with their animals – especially cats. Jenny is a Certified Cat Behavior Consultant (CCBC) through the IAABC and still continues to have a passion for shelter work in addition to doing behavior consults. She hopes to delve into feline behavior research in the future. She has two cats of her own, Schrodinger (pictured) and Min, as well as a dog named Onyxia.

Bastet is the Egyptian goddess of the home, domesticity, women’s secrets, cats, fertility, and childbirth.

Bastet Behavior is a female-run business promoting science-based, humane behavior modification strategies and techniques.
